Hello,

I am using P&M chainer in ProTools 11.3.1 on a Mac.

All my P&M plu-ins (V3.3.0) appear in the plug-in menu but when I open P&M chainer and try to insert a Plug-in, none is available...

What am I missing?

Thanks

Cyrille

Hello Cyrille,

Thanks again for your interest in DontCrack and Plug&Mix.

In the middle of the Chainer there is a button labelled 'prefs'

Click on it and select 'manage all VST plugins'

Please try it and I think you will be successful.

Best Regards,

Nick

Hello,

Thanks for your quick reply, actually the VST part seems to work. It's the AAX P&M plug-ins that don't appear at all!

Any suggestions?

Hello Cyrille,

Thanks for your interest in DontCrack and Plug&Mix.

Some ProTools 11 owners have had problems linked to how OS 10 handles preferences and the overwriting of the older files.

It seems the old files have stayed in place and are blocking the new 3.3 files from being read by ProTools.

One client got it working by trashing his ProTools Preferences.

Try going to my App Support/Avid/Plug-ins folder and manually trashing the older PM plugins. The error caused by the fact that
both old version as separate PM-xxxxxx.aaxplugin and a new Plug and Mix folder that are conflicting.

I also looked up the AAE error -7054 that sometimes shows up as well and the person got out of it by trashing the PT prefs.

Try it and tell me if it gets you up and running again.

Best Regards,

Nick
