Hey all, has anyone really driven their system with Chainer? I'm curious who has been able to instantiate a large number of Chainer Plugins in one session with success. I am running PT11 and it's been pretty smooth so far with 8-10 (one on each track). I've also got jBridge going for my 32bit plugs, I'm waiting for the day it'll lock up on me once I've reached "the limit".

Well. I made a test video to see what might happen if I put some chainers into a session that already has some plugins. This happened:

Follow up video coming soon to try a different approach.

Well. This ended in a fireball.

Gonna try another test where I just fill channels with P&M plugs instead of using the chainer.

Note: I am NOT saying it is P&M's fault for melting my machine. The intent of what I'm doing is explicitly to make my DAW really irritated at me. I like P&M, I'm just not sure about the chainer.
