Hello,

I've just installed the 3.3.0 update aax and au installers. Pro tools 11.3.1 is not letting the plugins run - "the plugin could not be made active because a AAE error was encountered. AAE error -7054 was encountered."

I have repaired disk permissions after attempting to reinstall the aax installer again. Still no joy.

The AU version works fine in logic.

Running Yosemite 10.10.2 on a Mac book pro retina 2013 model.

Any help would be appreciated... All previously installed versions most recently 3.2 had no issues in same version of pro tools.

Hello thesamrohdeshow,

Thanks for your interest in DontCrack and Plug&Mix.

I looked up the AAE error -7054 on the Avid forum and the person got out of it by doing the following.

Try going to my App Support/Avid/Plug-ins folder and manually trashing the older PM plugins. The error caused by the fact that
both old version as separate PM-xxxxxx.aaxplugin and a new Plug and Mix folder that are conflicting.

Another person told us that by trashing the ProTools preferences the Chainer worked correctly.

Try it and tell me if it gets you up and running again.

Best Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Thanks for reply.

Here is how I fixed it in the end.

Had to delete the plug and mix plugins in the location you stated above, but noticed the 3.3.0 installer never actually added newer files or updated the files so there were only the older 3.2 ones there. Once they were manually trashed I reinstalled 3.3.0 and that produced the updated files to that directory and it worked. Seems like the installer is buggy?

Hope this helps someone else in same position.

Hello thesamrohdeshow,

There is going to be a new version 1.1 up in the next days that should take care of this problem that happens on OS X where some permission are not letting the installer write the files properly.

Thanks for passing on the info.

Best Regards,

Nick
