When I import a mono aiff file into irc am ts and then process it, I then save it to the desktop, using the "save as" menu, but it always saves it as a stereo file. Is there a way to save it as a mono file? Thanks.

Hello Peter,

I sent you an email but I'm posting the reply here for other members to know. I also apologies for the slow reply on that one. We're a little overloaded with 2 of our guys on summer break...

I tested and you are right, TS does export mono files in stereo. I called the folks at Ircam yesterday and they understand the problem though no one has mentioned that up to now as an issue. I asked them to make a mono option on the next release and that should be done sometime in September if all goes well.

Meanwhile please note that the stereo files generated at bounce are 2 identical mono files that can be split and used as mono files. But I do agree that generates some manual process which can be time consuming when dealing with many files…

I hope they will provide an update ASAP.

We’ll keep you posted.

Thanks - Eric
