Plugivery Forums _ Plug & Mix _ Amp Sims Don't Work In Mono

Posted by: cazzari Sep 24 2014, 08:33 PM

Hi,

all amp simulations of the 3.2 64bit VIP bundle don't work in mono setting on mono audio tracks in Studio One 2.6.
They produce heavily distorted noisy sounds and can only be used when switched to stereo.

Hello cazzari,

The first thing I need to know is if you are on Mac or PC.

A description of your system would be very helpful as well.

Model of computer
OS version
Studio One 2.6 (there is a 2.6.3 you might want to try that first as it might solve the problem right away)

Best Regards,

Nick

Hello Cazzari,

If you start a new 'session' with just one track, one channel in mono then pull up an Amp sim do you get the same noise?

Best Regards,

Nick

Hello cazzari,

And if you continue using only Plug and Mix plug-ins on 3 tracks, then you add some stereo tracks and mono tracks?

Best Regards,

Nick

Nick,

I started with one mono track and an amp sim: sounds OK
Added another mono track with a different amp sim: totally damaged sound even in stereo setting

Hello cazzari,

Is the 2nd amp sim a Plug and Mix amp sim or is it from another company?

Best Regards,

Nick

Hello Cazzari,

I suggest you report this to the Studio One support team as the Amp Sims are working correctly in every other DAW as far as I am aware.

Best Regards,

Nick
