THis is a good idea. i ususally partake in stuff like this. After the holldiay season would probably be best, when people are done pouring cash into the crappy gifts hype that is modern xmas celebration.

I would probably go for the 50% offering.

I apologies for the delay getting back. We encountered many issues getting this hot promotion on the rails but we're finally there... The Sonnox group buy is now 'officially" open from this link.

We were very surprised to see that some of you found the link as we were working on the group buy page these past days. Some of you even committed to purchase a Sonnox bundle before the GB was officially launched ;-) That is so funny !!!

The group Buy will run from December 1 to 13, 2009 and 5 days will be made available for subscribers to purchase the product they committed to buy (from December 14 to 18, 2009).

If so, what extra taxes would we be expected to pay?

For example, will a successful $483 figure for the Essential Bundle exactly translate as me paying £292 UK Sterling at current exchange rates? Or will there be more on top?

Just the current 30% offer directly converted plus sales tax works out at a cost higer than current UK retail ?!?

This is very important question.
If we buy Sonnox plugins using this promotion, would be our iLok assets marked as NFR (not for resale) or none transferable?
Because if they will be NFR, it would be not such a big deal. As Sonnox offer to students and teachers such a discount 50% all the time. And they are NFR.
So I just want to make sure that this promotion is clean and we all get the fully legal and transferable licenses.

Digidesign will often have plug-in promotion bundles where you buy a bunch of digidesign and third-party plug-ins for a special low price. One of the problems has been that the plug-in developers don't all recognize these as full versions of their plug-ins. When it comes time to upgrade, extra fees are required to get the "full version".

Will this group buy of Sonnox plug-ins provide the "full versions" of these plug-ins? Will the buyers be on the standard upgrade path for future releases? Do you know of any other possible hidden limitations of purchasing through this group buy?

Ok, I understand your concerns !

First, Only Canadian residents will be charged VAT as our company is based in Canada. No VAT will be charged to any customers based OUTSIDE of Canada !

2 - All licenses sold during what ever promotion we run are always full products and transferable as if you had bought the product at full price from the manufacturers site. That is part of the deal we negotiate with our partners as we'll never sale "limited" products either... These are simply full products !

Nevertheless, Sonnox uses a single activation code to authorize all plugins that are part of a bundle. Customers can therefore not resale any individual plugins that are part of a particular bundle !
