Confused about Group Buy!

I'm on a Mac and I'm using Tracktion, which as of now doesn't support Audio Units. I think the version due out early 2007 will support AU. I would like to participate in the group buy the window forces me to choose between VST for Mac and Audio Units.

What would work for me. . .a little songwriting studio. . .is to be able to use VST for Mac until Tracktion supports AU, then switch to AU. Why would Nomad want to be stingy and not give Mac users the option to use VST or AU?

You can use all the available formats on the same machine, in other words, as soon as your machine is authorized to use the product you purchased, you can install AU, VST and RTAS versions on the same machine, you can for example use Pro Tools, Logic, Digital Performer, Cubase, Traction, Peak, etc….on the same machine, all formats will work.

Same for PC machines VST and RTAS are available using a unique authorization.

Very cool! I had gotten the wrong impression from the drop-down windows on the website that asked you to chose a particular format.

So it looks like I'll be able to use VST in Tracktion until they build in support for AU.

I'm from Italy. I wanted to know what kind of delivery is planned, if electronic (via email or download), or physical. In any case I wanted to know also if the purchase is subject to duty taxes for Italy.

Hi,I have a question:

I am going to buy the Vintage Studio bundle,regardless of whether it goes all the way to the 60% mark or not.(although that WOULD be nice...) smile.gif

I did demo the TrackBox,and was blown away be the great sound,both when clean,and all the character I can get by twisting some knobs a little...This is such a cool new plugin!!!

However,I would much rather be able to swap out the BlueVerb 2080(I have my favorite reverbs already,and need more effectey type stuff) for,say,the Liquid II plugins.They are pretty much the same price,within a few bucks.

Is this possible,and who would I have to talk to to make this happen? That would make my day,so thank you very much if it can be done.

however, the clock is now counting up, and I didn't receive an email?

It says I have joined the group buy, so am wondering what happened? Or is this because I am in a different time zone (Japan?)

hi can you tell me how we recieve the software we chose when the group buy time is up, as ive tried the demo versions a while back but since have removed them from my system, will we be able to just download it as a whole,auther and software,plus how much time is left as the clock on your page on my system is not showing any times smile.gif

Hi all,

We've reached the 60% discount with 355 participants! That is incredible and I want to thank all of you for your very active participation...

Some of you see the counter counting up and that is because of a time zone issue. The server used for the Group-Buy is based in europe and we had to manage to give pacific west cost users the chance to join till the last minute and so we added some time compared to the european time zone...

The mail confirmation with your -60% voucher coupon will be sent to you guys in the next hours as quickly as possible. We do have a few things to prepare to make sure all of you 355 participants purchase your bundles with no problem.

I apologies if some posts have not been answered quickly enough. As you can imagine, We've been receiving tones of emails and tried to keep up with forum posts all over the web.

Here is an other answer to some questions :

We only accept payments through Visa or Mastercard. All other banking systems like Paypal - Shareit - Amex - etc are way to expensive and that would keep all of you away from the attractive prices proposed on DontCrack. Specially 60% discounts wink.gif

As stated on the Group-Buy page and all product pages, VAT is applied to european residents. European based companies with valid VAT numbers will not be charged VAT. That number should be entered at checkout.

All other countries out of EEC will not be charged VAT!

On the FAQ it read something about if we exceeded 300 participants there was a possibility of an even deeper discount. i mean, i'm pleased with 60% but hey 65% wouldn't bum me out biggrin.gif

Really, I don't know... I sent you an email where I usually see 2 letters followed by 11 numbers for a VAT intracom number but as you replied you double checked that number... I don't know. That is a first time issue. I will talk to our accountant on monday but meanwhile, I don't know what to say wink.gif

As stated in the email you have received, store registrations and forums registration are NOT linked.

So if you never registered in the store, you have to create your account in the store.

To help you, may i suggest a few things:

- Please carefully read instructions received in your email, or on the website:
100% of the customers problems we have resolved this year were related to customers NOT reading instructions and warnings. We try to improve this everyday, but it seems that you guys are really really fast to buy products ;-)

If you dont receive any mails after you have placed an order at DC, there are mainly 4 reasons:

- Email was not sent immediatly, but it will be automatically sent in the next 3 hours again and again. This is really rare but this can happen.
- You've made an error while entering your email address : please verify it.
- Your card was never charged:please carrefully read the message that is printed after you enter your CC infos. (snapshot it, if you can)
- There was a security problems with you credit card : we will phone you ASAP about this rare issue.


If you are still having an issue, please mail to sales AT dontcrack.com, listing:
- your name
- the email you used in the store
- the products purchased
- the price
- your order ID (if you got one)
- your Transaction ID ("Order Reference" in the payment confirmation page)
- the GMT date when you placed your order
- Your detailed issue

The email on my account is correct. I just triple checked.
The card WAS charged. I can see the transaction. I'm sorry but I didn't snapshot the message after entering my cc info.
I have not received an email yet, thought I placed the order yesterday. I checked the spam filter too. Not there.

Simon's order has been processed. As we offer real time delivery, it may happen (though quite rarely) that customers encounter a payment security issue and see there order "pending". You'll all understand that it is meant to protect our customers from online Credit Card fraud!

We usually call customers within a few hours (depending on time zones) in order to confirm the purchase act and process the order. That it why it is most important that you provide a valid phone number when registering to the store. If we don't get an answer to the phone, we don't process the order till customers contact us...

I'm in the same boat. CC has been billed but still no email with authorization codes. I have received emails entitled Welcome at DontCrac[k] and one confirming my order DontCrac[k] - Order Processed two hrs ago.

Please let me know what to do as I am only able to download these plugs at work during the day (EST) and would like to use them this evening!!!

My invoice says paid on 12/17 via credit card (invoice no. 4000452), yet the status still says "pending"... I just sent Eric a PM, hoping this issue gets resolved soon. Can't wait to check these out!

Hi everyone

I have paid for the Studio Bundle .
In my ten years of downloading things I have never ever encountered anything as difficult as this,and for the life of me I cannot understand why it is so complicated.
In the studio bundle everything has to be downloaded seperately ,Why?

When you have finished downloading you have to register for each individual product filling in the same form ,answering the same questions ,? COME ON MAN ,IS THIS A MONTY PYTHON SKETCH.

On the registration form it asks you for a challenge number ,on the e mail from nomad I have not found a challenge number ,I have mailed them for an answer .

All in all I reckon on using about ten hours for downloading and installing the whole process if I ever get there .

I feel for a person with English as a second language everything is far too difficult .

Hi Eric and Peter,

I entered your store again to try to buy the Vintage Studio Bundle,and I am following your email instructions to the letter.

Again,I cannot make the order happen.I am talking to my bank again to see if in fact they are not allowing the order through...and I am on the phone wth them now...

and they have NOT recieved ANY of these transaction requests...including the ones I made over the weekend!!!

I repeat: They have NOT recieved the payment requests from your bank...that is why my bank has not paid...because they have not recieved ANY information form your bank at all.I have tried 6 times total over the last three days,talked to my bank about confirming the "international" thing being activated,and still nothing has come through.They have not recieved a SINGLE request from your bank.

However,because my bank has not even recieved ANY order confirmation numbers,they cannot tell me any more details about why it was not accepted.

I believe it is your bank that might be having the problems with my card.Could you check with them???

I only have another credit card,which you do not seem to accept,which is a DISCOVER card.Otherwise I do not know how to possibly be able to conduct business through your website.Please let me know if anything else can be done to make payment.I really want these plugins...

These issues were solved by Eric at don't crac[k] approximately 30mins after posting this.

All plug-ins are installed and working wonderfully. Download and installation took approximately 1 hour combined (I downloaded at work and took them home to install).

I bought everything at 9am today and now it's 9:50 and i'm all done. Painless.

When you guys are authorising...if you use the back button on your browser all you have to do is change the product and put in the new challenge. I hope you aren't filling in all those forms over and over!

I entered your store again to try to buy the Vintage Studio Bundle,and I am following your email instructions to the letter.I am using my VISA card...

Again,I cannot make the order happen.I am talking to my bank again to see if in fact they are not allowing the order through...and I am on the phone wth them now...

and they have NOT recieved ANY of these transaction requests...including the ones I made over the weekend!!!

I repeat: They have NOT recieved the payment requests from your bank...that is why my bank has not paid...because they have not recieved ANY information form your bank at all.I have tried 6 times total over the last three days,talked to my bank about confirming the "international" thing being activated,and still nothing has come through.They have not recieved a single request from your bank.

Maybe the problem is that my card is issued by my bank,and is linked to my checking account? I don't know,but they said sometimes that is an issue.But it is activated for international use anywhere VISA is accepted in the world.

However,because my bank has not even recieved ANY order confirmation numbers,they cannot tell me any more details about why it was not accepted.

I believe it is your bank that might be having the problems with my card.Could you check with them???

I only have another credit card,which you do not seem to accept,which is a DISCOVER card.Otherwise I do not know how to possibly be able to conduct business through your website.Please let me know if anything else can be done to make payment.I really want these plugins...

Hi Eric and Peter,

After all it WAS my bank not allowing the transaction through.they have a neat security feature that does not allow the first transation from a NEW country.They ended up caling me,and I was then able to authorise the purchase.

My bank apologised to me for not having let me know that the transactions had gone trough and been rejected.They need ot work on their communications I guess.

I purcased the compser toolbox and got the reg number by email. everything worked great. I really Like what you guys do. Group buy is the thing..keep up your good work!

One thing i would like to ask: Are the serial number valid for a long time? I will get a new computer soon and save one of the 3 installs registartions untill i get it. then still have 2 left instead of only one.

And in the future...what happens when all 3 are registred in my name? and i get a new computer again...am i not able to use these plugind anymore?

Its good thinking for not having any hardware boxes to ship around the world but users might not be to happy if
thay are not able to use the software. sometimes a case witch a cd-rom and a reg. nr on the box would feel more safe.

After 30 minutes of posting that Eric from Don`t Crack ,rang me .I was amazed.
He took time out to explain all the points raised in my letter ,for which I am truly grateful.

Because of my kids coming home for Christmas my studio is temporarily packed away ,so I won`t betr trying the Studio bundle before after the New Year.

What I do know is Erik and the Don`t Crack team care so I will be buying here again.

That is a good question. Nomad's activation codes are endless. Now when it comes to reactivating new machines over the months or years, All I can say is that Nomad Factory has always been very reactive and most professional. We've encountered such issues with customers and Nomad reactivated new serials for their new machines within hours.

That is something we closely look at before having new partners joining our store. All manufacturers most prove they have the ability to offer quick customer support in order to join in at DontCrack...

I just want to thank everyone for posting such great testimonials. In the past few days, we processed over 300 orders and everything went perfectly well.

There is only one exception and that is silverlode's order that hasn't been delivered correctly. We refunded his credit card and am waiting for him to confirm that the money is now back on his account... He will then be ablle to reorder his bundle with no problems I hope... wink.gif I apologies for all the inconveniences silvernode went through...

Some of you complained about not receiving their order confirmation seconds after purchase. The only thing that can block the automatic electronic delivery, is a credit card security issues. That is obviously meant to protect our customers against online fraud. when that happens, we try to call the customers phone number ASAP making sure no abuse as been attempted on their credit card. Once we have confirmation that everything is Ok, we manually process their order.

The other issue that is quite painful is the problem that noeqplease encountered where his bank blocked his credit card from ordering from our european based bank without letting him know. Moreover they strongly suggested it was our system that was defective. After a few days struggling to find out where the #$ù%°+ problem comes from, they called back to let our customer know it was a security issue on their side wink.gif Thanks Wells Fargo for your great security policy... mad.gif

If any of you encounter such credit card transaction failure, please contact your bank and make sure they fully understand the problem before you request credit card support on our side. Our system works at 99.99%...
