Casio To Fl Studio. Options

Hi. I've been tearing my hair out trying, and failing, to guess how to record midi from a Casio into FL, and would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who has actually done this. ( No theories, please.) The Casio's manual doesn't seem to understand why anyone would ever want to take music OUT of their lovely keyboard, and the people at the FL forum don't seem to understand the question. My best attempt so far results in FL recording the notes I play spread over half a dozen drum channels. Thanks, Moondog.
