Plugivery Forums _ Open Bar _ How Do You Listen To Music When You’re Not In The Studio?

Posted by: jeffreestar Sep 8 2025, 07:43 AM

Hi everyone,

When working in the studio, we often use dedicated monitors or headphones. But I’m curious: when you’re out and about, what do you usually listen to music with?

Some people prefer in-ear headphones to test mixes in real-world environments.

Some people trust Bluetooth speakers to get a more natural feel for the space.

I personally use regular headphones when I take the bus to test whether the mix “translates” well outside.

👉 The question is: Do you have a habit of testing your mixes on any device outside the studio? And is there a “mobile setup” that you find really useful?

I think this is a great way to make sure the product sounds good in any environment. I look forward to hearing from the community!
