Plugivery Forums _ Nomad Factory _ What Happened To The Ported Products?

Posted by: brozobob Mar 18 2020, 05:42 AM

Whatever happened to seeing something in Q1?

From your website...
"We're also actively working behind the scenes, porting all Nomad Factory plug-ins to our new framework. This takes a lot of time, but you will surely freak out when you see the results that should see the day from Q1, 2020. We're redesigning all GUIs, ameliorating the effects (while being backward compatible) and more. New products are also on the way !"

Crickets so far.

Chirp, chirp....

The current economic climate and global situation we're facing worldwide at the moment with Covid surely has had an impact on all businesses and production. We're working on updating the plug-ins, developments take time. Thanks!

1 year later and still nothing:(

Can we just be honest and say that there will never be udates to these products. It's been ages and there has been talk of this for too long to take it seriously.

Developments are ongoing, sorry this is taking some time as there are 100's of products requiring porting with code to redo and test, add support for updated OS's and new architectures (ARM - M1 Chip) and compile new graphics for retina support etc. It's a big job for a small team so we appreciate your patience, we are working on it. We will soon have a 64-bit authorizer available to support those having issues with not being able to authorize on Catalina and above as the current provided is 32-bit only and will not run - we are working on recompiling our installers and testing.

Thanks for the update!

While the delay is obviously increasingly harrrowing, wink.gif it's good to know this thing is still live, and the codemonkeys are spinning their little hamster-wheels (whoops mixed metaphor!) to get stuff ready while the world has collapsed around them…

Thanks, the team are here to help, monkeys and hamsters are keeping those 1's and 0's ticking...

Hey, ten weeks later… how're you all weathering the Covid resurgence?

Got any updates to report? Magnetic II is literally the hold-up keeping me off Big Sur at this point…

You may run the plug-ins under Catalina and Big Sur both under same conditions for their current plug-in version state. If you need any help with license generation for the Activator being 32-bit only, please reach out to help.nomadfactory.com for support. We have no further updates at the moment regarding the plug-in updates other than, our developers whom work also for other manufactures (namely; Plug and Mix a sister/subsidiary company of Plugivery Distribution) are on same task with porting via the new framework - a timely process indeed for a small company with limited man/woman-power.

Thanks!

FYI to all!

I use AudioGridder on the same PC as the DAW (I use Reaper)

I run Magma through AudioGridder and in doing that I've had no crashes, or DAW freeze's, and So far everything is working great. biggrin.gif

Here is the site: https://audiogridder.com/

I hope that "Porting Magma to the new framework", does not change the look! I like the 19" Rack look, That is the reason I got it.

I see installers version 5.13.1 are now available. Are these the fully ported versions?

Could we have an update re: the transition to Apple Silicon/M1/ARM architecture? It's been a few months. I'd really like to bring my ISP III Bundle with me when I configure my upgraded studio CPU in a few months. I've made a commitment to run only native plug-ins in Logic. I use a fair amount of PSP and Waves plug-ins (most of which have made the transition), but every now and then an old-school NF title is just what the doctor ordered for a mix.

Any word at all will be helpful. Time frame for completing the project would obviously help the most, but I know such things are hard to predict.

I asked Facebook's Nomadfactory account and they said they are planning an update later this year.
He also said that Nomadfactory would not respond to this forum.
I was told that if I wanted an answer, I would have to issue a ticket at Help centers.
I issued a ticket at Help centers for another trouble and asked for an update, but the problem was not resolved and the person in charge said there was an update soon.
Nomad Factory speaks and acts differently depending on the person in charge.
I can't trust the words of the person in charge of Facebook's Nomad Factory account.
As far as their actions and behaviors are concerned, development seems to be quite tough.
You shouldn't expect updates in the near future.
Ashley Smith is also abandoning here.
I can't expect a Nomad Factory without Bernie.
