Anyone Using A Touchpad For Midi Control Of Grm Xy? Options

I have a Remote SL controller that I am using with PT 9 running Automap 3.7.

Most plugs play with nice Automap, and the transport works OK. I'd like to assign the Remote SL touchpad to the XY parameters of GRM Tools Doppler plug.

The SL touchpad appears to have 4 CCs, top, bottom, left and right. Within PT 9 and the plug itself, I only see the option to assign MIDI to the X or Y aspects of the GRM Doppler XY control. The result is a very twitchy control of the GRM Doppler XY.

Has anyone done a similar XY/ touchpad setup using PT 9?

I am on a Mac running 10.6.7, and the Novation is of course connected directly to the computer via USB.
