Hello,

Was wondering if anyone else ran into this display bug, and if so could share a fix or workaround.

After installing GRM 3.1 (complete), the text labels which display all the numeric settings in the UI were gone. Same thing after installing 3.2. The plug in functionality seems to be unaffected.

I have the same results with the Complete installer as well as the individual group (ST, Classic, Evolution) installers. I've rescanned the plug ins with the plug in manager, and the versions are correct in the components folder in the Library.

I'm using Logic 9.1.6 (32 bit) on a 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Mac.

This is making me nuts. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Never seen this issue, I'm on osx but I am not using Logic though. Still mate, I wanted to answer to let you know you are not alone in here hahaha! Hopefully, GRM support is going to reply and help you, but it always take days or even weeks sometimes to reply so just be patient wink.gif

Cheers.

Hi,

Do you have the same problem with the others versions (VST, RTAS or standalone) ?

The used fonts are 'Arial' and 'Arial Rounded Bold'.
Check in your /Library/Fonts folder if they are present.
Open the "Font Book" (double-click on a font file) and check if these fonts are not disabled.

Thanks for the replies.

The labels in the standalone work, and previous versions of the AU plug-ins worked, so I don't think it's a font issue. The pulldown fields display the options ok (which is weird), and I'd imagine they use the same typeface.

i recently upgraded from v2 to v3 (mac, running 10.6.8) and all of my parameter labels in classic and spectral are corrupted - gibberish. this is with VST & AU plugs - i tried ableton live and max 5, both have the issue. the new grm plugs evolution, grinder and fusion are fine.
cheers

UPDATE:
it seems there is a font conflict with some versions of the font ARIAL causing the problem with text display issues in the Classic and ST version of GRM Tools for some folks (like me). removing (or disabling if you have a font manager) the Arial font solves the problem.
cheers and thanks to emmanuel for passing this on
