I bought the big GRM bundle today as I had been working with the demos over the last 2 days and they gradually convinced me to dive into GRM tools. At first I thought - well what's so hot about Evolution, then today I tried it on some parts of a current composition played by horns and trombones and morphing parts of the music into each other at different speeds and transpositions, changing around the level of puritiy and so on I was fascinated by the results. I won't post the brass music but here are some experiments I did today using various GRM tools in various combinations on sounds made with Reaktor, Alchemy and also field recordings. A lot to explore during the next weeks and months, together with Metasynth and crusherX these tools will open new territories for my sounddesign...

Can't wait to check out what you have done but am taking a audio break today so look forward to heading overto your demo links tomorrow ;-) btw Simon, have you experienced either a brief audio drop out (plug-in) or a short burst of dry signal (in standalone) around every 20 minutes of continuous use, especially with 'Evolution'? Support is aware of my experience and suggested it might be an iLock issue and were investigating but have not seem anyone else report it...was curious since I believe we have generically similar set-ups.\? Hi Chris, Yea, I've had several Evolution dropouts today during realtime bouncing, it always happened at different spots within a track and it was not a CPU issue as the CPU on my Mac Pro 8-core was hardly moving. I find the plugs a bit querky and not so well betatested to be honest, as posted in the Logic thread here on DontCrack there are several problems concerning auomation as well. For a bundle that price one should expect a bit more. Soundwise they are great and inspiring though... -------------------- patchpool.de

Yes, hopefully they will be able to address these soon, my impression based on response thus far and demo revamp is that fixes will be forthcoming within reason, I certainly look forward to audio stability and agitator bouncing (agitator+Fusion is really quite incredible). -------------------- Chris R.
