Hi All,

Here's some useful information I picked up on Greaslutz. This useful information has kindly been posted by GS user Simon Morrison. Thanks Simon !

Nomad Factory has posted new installers.

After installing the new version(s), select Audio Units Manager in Logic, click on Magnetic II, then click "Reset & Rescan Selection". If you switch between 32-bit and 64-bit mode in Logic, you will need to reset & rescan Magnetic II a second time (for the new mode).

A couple of things to try if you are running Lion 10.7.2 :

1. Remove both the MAGNETIC.component and MAGNETIC II.component files from:
- Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components
2. Set Logic to open in 32-bit mode
3. Launch then quit Logic
4. Re-install MAGNETIC II from the latest installer disk image:
- The installer package "NF AUx64 Installer.pkg" should be dated 11/17/11 12:13PM
- NF_AU > 1) Install Your Software > NF AUx64 Installer.pkg
5. Run "Software Activation" from the installer disk image
- NF_AU > 2) Authorize Your Software > Software Activation
6. Launch Logic again
7. Check the status in Audio Units Manager - reset & rescan if necessary
8. If you were previously using Logic in 64-bit mode, relaunch in 64-bit mode then check Audio Units Manager again - MAGNETIC II may require another reset & rescan

Issue where software was installed for an individual user versus "all users".

Here is the solution:

1. You will need to open the hidden user Library folder (a new "feature" in Lion):
a. Select the Finder from the Dock
b. Press and hold the option key
c. Select "Library" from the "Go" menu
d. Release the option key
e. You will now see the user Library folder
2. Remove both the MAGNETIC.component and MAGNETIC II.component files from the user Library folder:
- Macintosh HD > Users > your_name > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components
3. When (re)installing the Nomad Factory software, select the "all users" option when/if prompted
- this will install the plug-ins in the main Library folder (Macintosh HD > Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > Components)
4. You must be signed-in as an "admin" user to install software for all users
- To find out if you are an "admin" user, open System Preferences > Users & Groups
- The text "Admin" should appear under your user name

Also, double-check that you downloaded the correct installer from Nomad Factory:
- MAC OSX - Audio Units Installer: (32 & 64-bit) > Requires Intel Mac OS 10.6 & 10.7 (32 & 64-bit)

All of that might be of great interest to certain users that fail authorizing Nomads AU plug-ins !

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards - Peter
