When adding distortion to the sound in certain plugins, plugins without oversampling functionality tend to produce a significant amount of aliasing noise. I would like to see oversampling functionality added to the NF, P&M, and BBE plugins so that users can achieve clean distortion without aliasing noise. Is it possible to request the addition of oversampling in future updates? |

Hi syurin, Thanks a lot for your message and kind words — it really means a lot to hear from engineers and producers who are actively using Nomad Factory, BBE, and Plug & Mix plugins in their day-to-day work. That’s exactly why we’re putting so much effort into modernizing the entire catalog: to make sure these tools stay relevant, powerful, and reliable for your creative needs. Now, about the updates… I've learned over the years not to make promises when it comes to plugin development — especially around release dates. Our dev team often comes up with clever new ideas or improvements while working on legacy code, and I always encourage them to push further. That means things can take more time, but the results are well worth it. The Liquid Bundle is just about ready and we're aiming for a mid-June release. After that comes the big one: the Blue Tubes Bundle, including BlueVerb and Analog TrackBox — 20 plugins in total. It’s a flagship collection, so we’re taking extra care with the update. A lot has been done already, but there’s still some heavy lifting ahead. If all goes to plan, we’d love to launch it around September for the Back-to-School season. But again — no promises until we’re confident with the beta. Then comes MAGMA — a beast with 65 plugins. After the work we did on the P&M V.I.P. Bundle (50 plugins), we’ve built up some great experience and momentum, but MAGMA is still a major challenge. If everything stays on track, we expect the full Nomad Factory product line to be updated by mid-2026. As for the license question: You’re right — the original Integral Studio Pack III allowed up to five activations, while newer licenses are currently limited to three. However, all updates to the included plugins will be provided for free, regardless of when you bought the bundle. That’s a commitment we made years ago with my late friend and co-founder Bernie Torelli, and I intend to honor it. It’s not always easy, but it’s the right thing to do. And to answer your last point: Yes, we do plan to support Windows on ARM. All of our updated plugins are being built on a modern cross-platform framework that makes it easier to follow OS and DAW evolution — including ARM support, both on macOS and Windows. Hope this gives you a clearer picture of what’s ahead! Kind regards, Eric Hello Eric, Thank you very much for your thoughtful reply. I'm looking forward to seeing the full lineup of plugins, including the Liquid Bundle, Bluetubes Bundle, Magma, and others. If development allows, I would be delighted to see more updates on platforms like X, Facebook, and YouTube. There was a time when some friends to whom I had recommended Nomad Factory asked me, "Has Nomad Factory shut down?" We live in the age of social media, and I believe that promotional activities through platforms like these will become increasingly important for brands such as Nomad Factory. As a personal fan of Nomad Factory, I try to gather and share information myself, but I believe official updates would carry even more weight and credibility. I sincerely hope that the outstanding work by your team reaches a wider audience. Additionally, here in Japan, where I am based, Media Integration Inc. serves as the official distributor. However, the information on their site is outdated, and there have been no recent sales or promotions. It would be wonderful if you could coordinate with Media Integration and consider running some promotions for Japanese users as well. I truly hope that a bright future lies ahead for Nomad Factory. Syurin |

Hello Eric, I'm looking forward to the upcoming announcement regarding the update to the Liquid Bundle. I'm also eagerly anticipating the updates to the BlueTubes Bundle and Magma, which are expected to be released later this year. Recently, I’ve gradually started incorporating products from Nomad Factory, BBE, and Plug and Mix into the projects I handle as an engineer. Everything has been working very well so far, and the recently updated Motown EQ has delivered excellent results. Besides the updates to the Liquid Bundle, BlueTubes Bundle, and Magma, are there any other products scheduled for updates within this year? Additionally, do you have any plans or ideas in place for next year and beyond? I would really appreciate it if you could share any information. P.S. I have one question: In the past, a license for Integral Studio Pack III allowed activation on up to five computers. However, it now seems to be limited to three. If I were to purchase another Integral Studio Pack III license now, would I be entitled to receive future updates for all included plugins with six activations under the same terms? Second P.S. In recent years, the wave of the ARM platform has also reached Windows. Some DAWs and plugins have already announced support for Windows on ARM. Do you have any plans to make the plugins from Nomad Factory, BBE, and Plug and Mix compatible with Windows on ARM in the future? |

Dear friends, Apologies for the delayed reply. Rest assured, we are absolutely not abandoning any Nomad Factory software! Upgrading the Nomad Factory, BBE Sound, and Plug & Mix product lines to support the latest operating systems and DAWs is a massive challenge — but we’re fully committed to making them better than ever. We’re just about to launch a major upgrade for the Motown EQs, which will also be added for free to all Retro EQs owners, just as we promised years ago. Here's the unpublished Motown EQs video trailer. Please keep that between us until the official launch in just a few days, Ok?: https://youtu.be/vTkFJwTyuGw?si=0YO4SRvna-_Sq8PX Next up is the Liquid Bundle, scheduled for release by the end of May 2025. The Blue Tubes Bundle is also on the way — that’s 26 plugins to update, representing a huge amount of work and investment. MAGMA is another major project: we're planning to complete the full upgrade of all 65 MAGMA plugins by the end of 2025. You can’t imagine the amount of time and resources this requires, but we’re doing it — and offering all these upgrades for free to our loyal users, as always. Not sure any other plugin company does that ;-) Thank you so much for your patience and continued support. Kind regards, Eric Hello Eric, Thank you as always for your sincere support. In recent years, the wave of ARM platforms has also been reaching Windows. Do you have any plans to make the plugins from Nomad Factory, BBE, and Plug&Mix compatible with Windows environments running on ARM CPUs in the future? P.S. I would appreciate it if the user forum could be managed a bit more actively. It would also be helpful if users could be notified via email when there are delays in release schedules. |

Hello Eric, It seems that Media Integration, Inc., the Japanese distributor for Nomad Factory, has been significantly delayed or has stopped updating information. There have been no updates since 80’s Space V2, and older versions of BBE Audio products, which were previously sold under the Nomad Factory brand, are still listed, even though the brand became independent and started selling them separately. Could you please communicate with Media Integration to ensure that the latest information is maintained after development and distribution were transferred to Plugivery? Thank you. |

Yesterday, the Plug & Mix V.I.P. Bundle V4 was released. It’s working flawlessly in the macOS Sonoma M2 Ultra environment. I’m excited about the upcoming release of the Nomad Factory BlueTube Bundle. I’m looking forward to the first upgrade of the new year. |

Hello Eric, I recently got the new V.I.P. Bundle and tried it out right away. I was able to confirm its functionality with Pro Tools, Nuendo, and WaveLab. The sound did not disappoint, and I’m thrilled to see it running on the latest platforms. However, unfortunately, I couldn’t get the plugins to load in DaVinci Resolve, either as AU or VST. Thank you for updating the plugins, including those from Nomad Factory, to work in modern environments. I’m also eagerly looking forward to the latest version of the Pro Bundle. |

There was a mention of the BlueTube Bundle in the Don'tCrac[k] mailing list. The mailing list said that the BlueTube Bundle would be updated within the year, but since development usually takes longer than the announced timeframe, I'm hoping it will be updated by spring of next year. However, it seems certain that the BlueTube Bundle development is progressing, so I'm looking forward to it. If you want the latest information about Nomad Factory, it might be good to subscribe to the Don'tCrac[k] mailing list. |

Hi syurin, I understand your concerns. Here's the road map that I have at hand: •Magnetics Bundle: This is where our focus is at the moment. We've completely overhauled these three plugins, much like the updates we did with the Pulse-Tec and All-Tec EQs. They're sounding better than ever and fully modernized. If all goes well with our final checks, we're looking to announce these on April 15. • British Bundle: This one's coming up next. It was a bit easier to tackle since we didn't have to do a major overhaul—just some nifty upscaling of the GUIs to keep that cool vintage vibe, plus quite a bit of manual tweaking to smooth out the upscale artifacts. It's trickier than it sounds, but we're aiming to get this bundle out before the end of April. • Plug & Mix V.I.P. Bundle: There's a lot of anticipation for this one, and rightfully so. It's been a beast with 50 plugins to update, a process that's eaten up over two years of our time. But, we're nearly there and can't wait to get this into your hands by May or early June at the latest. • Blue Tubes Bundle: We're not stopping there. The flagship Blue Tubes Bundle is already in the works with major improvements on the way. July is our target for this release, fingers crossed. • In Between Surprises: And just because we can, we might sneak in a few surprises here and there, like the Liquid Bundle, which is all set and just waiting on a fresh coat of paint, graphics-wise. • Magma: Looking further down the line, Magma is a hefty project with 65 plugins to port and a complex layout that we're aiming to make even better. It's a big job, but we're on it. I really hope this sheds some light on where we're at. We haven't been the best at sharing our roadmap, and for that, I apologize. It's been a wild ride with plenty of hurdles along the way to creating the perfect setup for reviving these amazing plugins. Offering these updates for free to our existing users is just our way of saying thank you for sticking with us through this journey. Again, thank you so much for your message and for hanging in there with us. Your support truly keeps us going. To President Eric, Thank you for sharing the development roadmap with us. I'm thrilled to hear that the Magnetics Bundle and British Bundle will be updated soon. Knowing that other products will also be updated in the not-too-distant future brings me relief. I know I'm not the only one who loves NomadFactory plugins. Wishing your company continued success and smooth development. Much gratitude and respect to the engineers who are diligently updating such a Huge catalog. And President Eric, thank you for saving the NomadFactory that I love. Best regards, Syurin Nagatuki |

Are you not conducting open beta tests recently? BusDriver remains just a thread with no content, and unreleased products that haven't been tested are being released first. Users become anxious when they don't know the progress. Could you at least provide updates on the progress of porting to the new platform? |

Do you have any new information regarding the porting of P&M products to the new platform? With the release of M3 processors for Mac, new purchasers cannot use the current plugins for native operation. Please let me know if there is any officially shareable information. |

Hi. We are pleased to inform you that we have nearly completed the porting process for Magnetics bundle . It will be available within the coming weeks. We appreciate your patience and understanding throughout this process. Should you have any further questions or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. Best regards, Ziggy Hand Quality Assurance. What is the progress of the magma porting work? I have recommended magma to several friends, and I myself find it very convenient and useful. However, the design of magma is the oldest among Nomad Factory's plugins, and bugs remain unresolved. Do you have a schedule for the priority and completion date of the magma porting work? I'm eager for an early port. Gratitude and respect to the engineers involved in the massive catalog porting work. |

I noticed that Magma VSR is no longer available on the official Nomad Factory website and Don'tkrac[k]. I am a big fan of Magma VSR. Will Magma be discontinued? I have recommended Magma to many friends. I believe Magma is an excellent plugin in terms of its concept and performance. I sincerely hope that it can be upgraded to support new platforms and improve its GUI. I would appreciate your consideration. I contacted support directly and received the following reply. ---- We put MAGMA offline temporarily for the current Nomad promo. MAGMA is on our todo list to be upgraded ASAP. It’s a big one as it contains 65 plug-ins that all need to be upgraded with our latest framework. We are doing our very best to upgrade all Nomad products in a timely matter. It’s a huge job, but we’re on it... ---- Development of MagmaVSR is continuing and will be updated eventually. We do not know the priority of development, but we hope it will be updated in the not-too-distant future. Fortunately, it works fine in my environment, but Magma VSR is currently the oldest version of the NomadFactory plug-ins and has stopped being updated. Therefore, there may be many problems in the current environment. I believe that a public beta will be released before the update, so if you have a bug that concerns you, you can report it on the forum when the public beta is released. |

I believed the CEO's statement. But it was not executed. I understand to some extent that after the announcement on the Nomad Factory web site, the work was delayed due to COVID-19. But the CEO's statement the other day was made under the current circumstances. And with no notification of the delay, users are left in the dark. For NomadFactory's bright future, I think it is necessary to care about the users and publicize the project with blistering publicity. Eric, I am not angry but sad. I understand that a huge port to a new platform is difficult. But I think the users would be relieved if you could devote some more resources to communicate with them. I am not a user representative, but I know there are several users around me who feel the same way. I hope this message gets through. I salute all the engineers who are working on this very difficult port and thank you, Eric, for saving NomadFactory. And Eric, thank you for saving NomadFactory. |

Hi syurin and teksonik, First of all, thank you very much for your comments in this forum. I do see that myself and the team have not been very active on this forum board and I apologize about that. To keep you folks in the loop, it is much more than Nomad Factory products that needed to be upgraded to our new framework. As you may know, we also acquired the responsibility to keep the BBE Sound plug-ins up to date (as these have been developed by Nomad Factory for BBE Sound) and there is also Plug & Mix that was an other big project that I started years back, again using the Nomad Factory framework to build our own plug-ins... The problem when porting software from an old framework, to a new one, is "Backward Compatibility". It is the "fine tuning" that literally takes weeks or even months to do for each plug-in, so that it sounds and feels exactly the same from old sessions recorded years ago. Many companies don't really bother with that but we do... At this time we ported all BBE Sound software to our new framework and a major upgrade should be announced before the end of the month. That means that the Sonic Sweet Bundle and the BBE StompBoard will now be fully compatible with all computer OS and plug-in formats as 80s Spaces actually is. There's also the Plug & Mix V.I.P. Bundle that counts 50 plug-ins that is now almost ready to launch, all nice and clean. That should be in early October. So, as I said, other Nomad Factory products are on the way to be ported but it will unfortunately take some time. I hope all of them will be ready before the end the end of 2023... While we gained great experience porting lots of plug-ins, we know that is not something that can be done correctly with a finger snap. As for the GUIs, I feel 80s Spaces is big enough on a 4k 27 inch iMac Pro but resizing is on the todo list for up coming updates... 😰 Thank you all for your patience and your understanding. Eric Thank you Eric for your very sincere reply. As teksonik wrote, I too look forward to updates. I own all Nomad Factory products and BBE Sound products, so I am very happy that "backward compatibility" will be maintained and that no products will be "discontinued". I am very thankful that despite the massive update, there is no additional cost. (Personally, I would like to see you charge an upgrade fee if necessary to maintain the software in the future, as long as it is not too expensive.) I am also interested in the Plug & Mix Pro Bundle and would like to purchase it. I would also like to see future updates or new product releases include an option to explicitly select low-pass filtered oversampling, such as x2, x4, etc., for aliasing noise reduction. It was great to hear back from you. Syurin Nagatuki |

It's great news that the Nomad Factory plugins are getting some love from a new team! I had the honor and privilege of doing some beta testing for Bernie before he passed away and his generosity has provided me with licenses for almost all the NF catalog except the 80's Spaces which I may pick up during the sale. So I'm very exited that great plugins like Cosmos, Drum Tools, MFX-Magma etc may be in active development again. However, one of the things I'm reading on various forums and these are my feelings as well, one of the most useful updates would be for resizable GUIs or at least more GUI size options. When most of the NF factory plugins were first released, common monitor resolutions were much smaller such as 1366 x 768. Today 1920x1080 is one of the most common resolutions and 4K is becoming more and more popular. This causes what I call "GUI Shrink" where plugins that were the perfect size on older resolutions are now too small for today's higher res. I noticed this right away with the 80's Spaces version 2 update. While it is usable at 1920x1080 it is a bit too small to be comfortable. I don't have a 4K monitor but imagine it would be even smaller on one of them. So I'd like to encourage the new team to look into resizable GUIs for any of the NF plugins that get updated. Your experience as a beta tester must have been invaluable and wonderful. I strongly agree with the implementation of a resizable GUI. I was using a WQHD resolution display for a while and found the plug-in GUI so small that it was difficult to operate, so I purchased a new display with FHD resolution. In recent years, I feel that more and more third-party plug-ins are implementing resizable GUIs. I assume that the NF development team is currently busy porting Burny's legacy to new platforms. I would like to make my requests known to NF when a new version of their product catalog becomes available. |

I wonder if we can hope for VST3, because last week Cubase announced that they will no longer support VST2? I was very anxious too. However, Nomad Factory released 80'sSpace v2 on August 30. 80'sSpace v2 has many improvements including support for the latest OS, VST3, and AppleSillicon. Plugivery / Nomad Factory CEO Eric Norot announced in the Don't Crac[k] newsletter that they will be updating all of their products over the next few months. I have included the quote in a separate thread on this forum. https://forums.plugivery.com/index.php?showtopic=144131 VST3 compatibility for Nomad Factory's major plug-ins may be a strong possibility before Steinberg scraps VST2. |
