I'd like to try to use the snail to accurately tune an acoustic piano, it's seems however the spiral view is a pure mathematical equal temperament (octave ratio = 2) that does not take into account octave stretching nor any inharmonicity model for real life sounding strings,
could it be possible to customize (with many decimals) each "target notes" ? that way it would be really interesting for a piano tuner. thanks a lot! |

This could be a very attractive plugin for use with microtonal music if it supported alternative temperaments. That would be especially so if it supported the import of Scala (.SCL) tuning files (or another standard tuning file format). This would also address the needs of the original post.
