Haiti earthquake is a sign of 2012 destruction? If this true then what can we do?

Earthquake is a sign of natural disaster. It is normal to experience because we don't know the movements under our lands. Even sink holes. I believe sinkholes is more dangerous, or Earthquake really become a source of sinkholes. I believe there are more and more destruction that will happen after this year.
