Hi,
Kinda on the fence here. Been checking out Sonnox for a couple yrs. now. Have a couple Waves bundles, McDsp,Brainworx, and have been researching UAD....... we'll see if I do the Sonnox for $600. Just wandering , you said you had duplicate e-mail addresses for the group buy, Is this offer a one per customer? Is it possible to send two or more of the same e-mail because you want two or more?

I guess you can buy as many you want from any of the offered bundles with one group buy participation as it is said " you commit to buy at least one of the above mentioned products ", but i have no idea how they manage the ilok authorization, possibly all bundles will be locked to one ilok account but you could still use several iloks with one account and spread your bundles among them. I bet someone here knows better and will tell us here soon.

Hi, I am new to this forum and has not participated in such group buys before. I would like to confirm my participation in this group buy for the sonnox elite bundle:)
Pardon me for making an utter fool of myself if I actually need to confirm my intended purchase somewhere else on this site but I really couldn't find any links or instructions as to how I could enter the group buy. (Btw my email is kerfun78@gmail.com)
Thks a zillion:))!

Kelvin

Question here? I'm noticing preferred platform on this sight , Mac-AU, Mac-RTAS, Mac-VST(dido for PC) "Only one selection". I'm on a mac using Pro Tools le (RTAS) and Logic Pro 9(AU). Would anyone know if when you select the platform would you just get that platform eg. RTAS "or" AU, or would you get both the RTAS and AU as I get with my Waves bundle?

Thank you

The license is good for all platforms... EG if you get the native bundle you can use that on Mac / Win / AU / VST. You can download all versions from the sonnoxplugins.com website right now.

Thank you. So it wouldn't matter which preferred platform you select at Don't Crack (You're purchasing the license)? After purchase you would still be directed to Sonnox for the download?

Correct, the preferred platform you choose is just data they collect for research.

Ok. so I figured I try the demo. Sonnox also asked for the prefered download. So I downloaded transmod native. for pro tools le mac universal binary (I'm on intel) when I was going to install it, the installer says it's good for PT 7 and earlier. (I'm useing v8 so I haven't installed it) . The sonnox page also has 3 download types, pro tools le, Audio units and Vst. If I do get the PT download to work it will not work with the Logic. Would they both have to be downloaded and installed. The transmod is v1.5.3. I picked a bad time to do this considering the buy is a day away and their tech support is probably closed for the week end.

sonnox support- FAQ
Oxford Pro Tools HD and LE plug-in installers currently indicate compatibility with "Pro Tools 7 and earlier". Please note that Pro Tools 8 IS fully supported and we hope to released updated installers to correct this message shortly.

Oxford Pro Tools HD plug-ins run on Accel, HD, MIX, RTAS, and Audio Suite environments, and work with Mac OSX 10.3 or later, including Leopard*, Windows XP and Vista 32 operating systems.

jeez. if this works for the rtas, is the au a seperate download?

Downloaded the au download also. I didn't install either of them.... Sonnox documentation dated 2007. My Waves and Brainworx downloads were one down load for intel mac, rtas and au into computer licensed with ilok....done.

Sorry all, but I'm going to pass on this one.
Next time.

They keep the different formats in their own installers because a lot of people on need one format. For example, I only need the AU's because I only use Logic. If you need multiple formats you need to download each of those specific installers.

I highly suggest you at least demo them before passing up this offer because I doubt there will be another group buy for these plugins again. I haven't used any software that requires an iLok for years and said to myself that I never would again, but I kept hearing that these plugins were the best of the best. So I went out and purchased an iLok just to demo them this week. I found that these plugins are definitely something special. They'll be my main effect plugins that I use for about 90% of my work. They're CPU efficient and the sound is truly amazing just like high end hardware.

Since I ended up purchasing the iLok I also figured that I would demo every other plugin that I was not able to before... I also ended up passing on all of them, but I am happy I did it because let me tell you these plugins are an absolute bargain at $599 for the native Elite bundle!

OK Anthony.

I redownloaded rtas "and" au and installed (transmod). It works in PT and Logic. Gonna demo the others first but it looks like I will be hitting the button for the group buy. Thank you for talking me back into this purchase.
