Hi,
I just purchased Magma, installed 1.66. It's a great concept, however I have had my machine lock-up close to a dozen times in the first hour of use, on a machine that is as stable as a rock, and hasn't had a single crash in nearly 3 years of running daily with a heavy load. I've beta tested lots of software, and am a tech, so I know my way around. It's no one thing that causes the crashs. It also takes out my ASIO driver, so I have to hard reset the machine. I've uninstalled the product for now. My reason for writing is I know the situation is in flux at the moment, and you guys will be having a look at the state of the software, code etc. I just want to ask that you take a look at magma, please. I would like to be able to use in my productions at some point in the future. Also I am happy to provide proper detailed feedback in the various ways it currently crashes, and I'm sure I can find new ones. I wish you luck in your new endeavors. |

Hi guys,
Sorry for the late reply on that one. We are aware that Magma can be buggy with certain DAWS, under certain circumstances. When we took over Nomad Factory sometime ago we looked at the complete product line and we have decided that we would migrate all products to a new framework. That will greatly help us improve the overall products stability on so many OS systems and DAWs. But as you can imagine, migrating over 70 products to a new framework is very difficult and time consuming. The new framework is ready and we will shortly launch products that will gain great stability. We might extract all individual plugins from Magma and make them available to Magma users but again, that is 100 plugins that we need to migrate to the new framework. We're on it and we'll keep you posted ASAP. Thank you for your patience and your understanding. -------------------- Eric Nolot
