I'm using the VST2 version and the limiter is working here - it's a brickwall with little bit of lookahead, I think. You can't set threshold but you can drive into it and back down the output. Ok it's working now. I need to try and replicate the result I got earlier because it was definitely not brickwalling. Not a big deal as I can just put another limiter behind Cosmos. I mostly use the exciters and stereo effects. |

Is it my imagination or is the Limiter not working in Cosmos 3? Anyone else find the same? |

As a Cosmos license owner will I receive Cosmo 3 for free? I believe you've been saying updates will be free. EDIT: Nevermind I found the installer in the new Magnetics bundle. I was looking for a separate installer. Thanks for the free update. Very nice ! |

I was a beta tester for Magma in 2015-2016. There were bugs in the latest version 1.6.6 and then sadly Bernie passed away. After that happened things just kind of went into a state of uncertainty. I'd be happy to test any new versions as I still have some of my notes from that time period. I'm guessing that after stability issues the biggest request will be for larger GUI sizes (as is the case with all the old NF plugins). P&M Chainer was also being tested. Very promising plugin. I see it can still be downloaded and authorized. |

So this IS what happened to Xlutop's Chainer - it got bought up by this lot and re-skinned! THAT'S why he closed down its shop on his website - I always wondered!! I'm not sure that's correct. I don't think there is any connection with P&M Chainer and Xlutop's chainer. P&M Chainer has been out for years so it would have coexisted with Xlutop's chainer for a period of time. |

You can (currently) also download the BBE SonicSweet beta (from its forum) and test it (in Demo mode if you dont currently own a License)... Others product betas should follow soon... stay tuned! Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you. Ok I do own a Sonic Sweet license so can test them but I'm on Windows so can't test Mac M1 compatibility. |

I haven't heard anything new. The old Nomad Factory plugins are still being sold at a discount so I'm not sure what's going on. |

Thanks for the information Eric! I'm looking forward to all the updates however long it takes. I know it must be a huge task. It's good to hear GUI resize is on the to-do list! Would you mind if I quoted your post at KVR or could you if you have a moment comment? There is an 80's Spaces thread active right now. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=586386 |

It's great news that the Nomad Factory plugins are getting some love from a new team! I had the honor and privilege of doing some beta testing for Bernie before he passed away and his generosity has provided me with licenses for almost all the NF catalog except the 80's Spaces which I may pick up during the sale. So I'm very exited that great plugins like Cosmos, Drum Tools, MFX-Magma etc may be in active development again. However, one of the things I'm reading on various forums and these are my feelings as well, one of the most useful updates would be for resizable GUIs or at least more GUI size options. When most of the NF factory plugins were first released, common monitor resolutions were much smaller such as 1366 x 768. Today 1920x1080 is one of the most common resolutions and 4K is becoming more and more popular. This causes what I call "GUI Shrink" where plugins that were the perfect size on older resolutions are now too small for today's higher res. I noticed this right away with the 80's Spaces version 2 update. While it is usable at 1920x1080 it is a bit too small to be comfortable. I don't have a 4K monitor but imagine it would be even smaller on one of them. So I'd like to encourage the new team to look into resizable GUIs for any of the NF plugins that get updated. |
