Hello daro,

Well we have done everything that would be preventative, reinstalling, trashing prefs, etc.

I have forwarded your case to our developers to see if they can duplicate your problem with the Digital Reverb and find a solution for it crashing ProTools MP9.

Best Regards,

Nick

Thanks! Hope they can get it figured out soon.

Hello daro,

You have already done this as well but it could be an idea to reinstall the P&M plug-ins, seeing as you have reset ProTools.

Best Regards,

Nick

Nick,

I trashed the prefs yet again and re-installed P&M 3.0.3 but the Digital Reverb is still crashing Pro Tools MP9.

Thanks

Hello daro,

Maybe you have already done this but it could be that the preferences have got corrupted and should be trashed.

It happens quite often that the ProTools preferences and before in earlier versions the DAE preferences needed to be reset to get ProTools back on the rails.

Always worth a try.

Best Regards,

Nick

Tried that. No difference. Digital Reverb still crashes Pro Tools MP9.

Yes. It still crashes.

It also doesn't matter whether it's a stereo or mono insert. It crashes either way.

If you create a new session and one new track in that session, then insert the Digital Reverb, does that session crash?

Best Regards,

Nick

Yes. It still crashes.

Hello daro,

Could you please tell me more, is it when you choose the Digital Reverb as an insert? Is it as soon as the Digital Reverb is selected, or is it when you hit play again?

What version of the Mac OS are you using?

Best Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick!

I'm on Windows 7. Yes...it crashes Pro Tools MP9 when selecting the Digital Reverb as an insert effect. The other components are fine. For some reason, it only happens with the Digital Reverb.

Hello Alex-G,

This bug was reported in time for the developers to get it into the 3.03 release which should out very very soon.

Thanks to all of you in helping us see this one.

Best Regards,

Nick

I've installed Version 3.0.3 but the Digital Reverb is crashing Pro Tools MP 9.0.5. It seems to only be a problem with the RTAS version. Help!

I downloaded and installed PM version 3.0.3 and I am still having the same problem. Please help!

Are you able to open Pro Tools? The reason I ask is because I recently had an issue with the stupid iLok where I had to go out to the iLok site and reinstall the drivers. Without warning....Pro Tools MP9 just stopped working. Once I re-installed the iLok junk....everything was fine again.

Thanks much for the response. I'll give it a try and post the results.

No luck. Cleaned out the registry but P&M Digital Reverb 3.0.3 still crashes Pro Tools MP9 9.0.5.

OSX permissions are the Apple/Macintosh equivalent of the Windows registry.
To clean up the Windows Registry use a program called CCleaner it's free and works great
when you run CCleaner you select registry and then check for conflicts and then Fix all issues
I am assuming your on a Windows system don't know why it is just the Digital Reverb
The software developer would know more just suggestions to try and help.
Google for CCleaner and you will find it with the company that makes it called Piraform.
Just some suggestions I am going to update my plugins to 3.0.3 today and I will see if
I have the same issue with PT 10.3.5
Good luck wink.gif

Thanks much for the response. I'll give it a try and post the results.

Windows Registry conflicts?
OSX permissions?
I would check those depending on system OS and see if that fixes the problem.

Why is it only happening with the Digital Reverb? The other components are opening fine. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for in the registry or what OSX permissions are.

PM VIP Bundle Digital Reverb Crashes Pro Tools MP9 9.0.5
Windows 7
HP Pavilion dv7
i7 Processor

I went through every plugin in the VIP bundle to see if there was an issue and the only one I'm having trouble with is the Digital Reverb. It won't even open in Pro Tools MP9 it crashes the program. It seems to work fine in Cubase (64 bit) and Studio One 2.5 (64 bit) but the RTAS 32 bit version of Digital Reverb is crashing Pro Tools.

Thanks
