Hello everybody, In it´s newsletter and on the product page Dontcrack is promoting a free upgrade for existing users of Nomad Factory`s 80s Spaces to the current version V2. I installed the new version and started it inside Cubase 12.0.40 on Win10 and was prompted to authorize it. But the purchased product key in my account doesn't work. Where can I get an actual working license key for 80s Spaces? Has anybody else figured out how to upgrade? Thanks in advance for your answers. best regard Alex Hi Alex, Please contact the support team from : http://help.dontcrack.com Thanks, |

Thanks for the information Eric! I'm looking forward to all the updates however long it takes. I know it must be a huge task. It's good to hear GUI resize is on the to-do list! Would you mind if I quoted your post at KVR or could you if you have a moment comment? There is an 80's Spaces thread active right now. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=586386 Hey Teksonik, thanks for informing me. I no longer have much time to post of forums and socials but I will reply on the KVR thread... Cheers, Eric |

Hi syurin and teksonik, First of all, thank you very much for your comments in this forum. I do see that myself and the team have not been very active on this forum board and I apologize about that. To keep you folks in the loop, it is much more than Nomad Factory products that needed to be upgraded to our new framework. As you may know, we also acquired the responsibility to keep the BBE Sound plug-ins up to date (as these have been developed by Nomad Factory for BBE Sound) and there is also Plug & Mix that was an other big project that I started years back, again using the Nomad Factory framework to build our own plug-ins... The problem when porting software from an old framework, to a new one, is "Backward Compatibility". It is the "fine tuning" that literally takes weeks or even months to do for each plug-in, so that it sounds and feels exactly the same from old sessions recorded years ago. Many companies don't really bother with that but we do... At this time we ported all BBE Sound software to our new framework and a major upgrade should be announced before the end of the month. That means that the Sonic Sweet Bundle and the BBE StompBoard will now be fully compatible with all computer OS and plug-in formats as 80s Spaces actually is. There's also the Plug & Mix V.I.P. Bundle that counts 50 plug-ins that is now almost ready to launch, all nice and clean. That should be in early October. So, as I said, other Nomad Factory products are on the way to be ported but it will unfortunately take some time. I hope all of them will be ready before the end the end of 2023... While we gained great experience porting lots of plug-ins, we know that is not something that can be done correctly with a finger snap. As for the GUIs, I feel 80s Spaces is big enough on a 4k 27 inch iMac Pro but resizing is on the todo list for up coming updates... 😰 Thank you all for your patience and your understanding. Eric |

Hi avenvien, Sorry for the late reply. You'll find the Nomad download link from the new website. https://www.go.nomadfactory.com/products/b8...tudio-Pack-III/ The old legacy website is just for authorization purposes until we upgrade all products. It's on the way but it's a huge job... For further support, prefer : http://help.nomadfactory.com Hope this helps, Thanks - Eric |

Hi, You need to locate the plug-in folder in your DAW and remove the unwanted plug-ins manually. Hope this helps. |

Hi Eric, Perhaps did you get an answer from the team through our convenient ticket system. There is no reason for the AIR Instrument Expansion Pack 3 Select Upgrade to kill your purchased Music Xpand!2 software. No worries here for me... Hope this helps. Cheers ! |

Hi guys, Sorry for the late reply on that one. We are aware that Magma can be buggy with certain DAWS, under certain circumstances. When we took over Nomad Factory sometime ago we looked at the complete product line and we have decided that we would migrate all products to a new framework. That will greatly help us improve the overall products stability on so many OS systems and DAWs. But as you can imagine, migrating over 70 products to a new framework is very difficult and time consuming. The new framework is ready and we will shortly launch products that will gain great stability. We might extract all individual plugins from Magma and make them available to Magma users but again, that is 100 plugins that we need to migrate to the new framework. We're on it and we'll keep you posted ASAP. Thank you for your patience and your understanding. |

Hi JT3Jon, First, please don't post the same subject in multiple threads. This a "Store" manner and so I deleted the post in the Ircam thread. I understand your point but now days, competition is so hard that manufacturers sometimes ask us to keep promos going until the R&D cost are fully covered. At the end, you bought a great product and payed only $99 for it. The regular $249 price will be updated on September 1, as the sales have been really good and R&D almost covered... The BPM detection is ready but they're also working on many new features requested by users and these will also be implemented in the new version. My colleague Nick has sent you a direct email with further details. Thank you for your patience and your understanding. Kind Regards - Peter |

Good to hear you got it to work. I think you should demo any plug-in prior to purchasing it making sure it does what you expect it to do... I hope it will find some use in future projects of yours... Kind Regards - Peter |

On Windows, a VST plug-in often has separate installation locations. The stand-alone version usually gets installed into a subfolder of "Program Files". This subfolder is normally named after the plug-in developer. The second location is for the VST plug-in DLL. As you are running Cubase you might need to move the P&M VST file to : Windows C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\ 32-bit plug-ins on Windows 64-bit C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Vstplugins\ As users use different DAWs our installers creates a "general" VST folder as requested by users that run multiple DAWs. That is something all Windows users are aware of and they therefore handle their VST folders at their convenience... Here's a tutorial that explains some of that but there are many more that you will find if you Google around... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5xR5-OhsSs Hope this helps. Best Regards - Peter |

It' needs to be authorised correctly at least once and then it will stay active at each launch. You may re-install and see if it is authorised. If not, authorise it and all should go well... Hope this helps. BR - Peter |

Hello there, In order to assist you, we need to know if you are running Mac OS or Windows and which version of these. Which DAW and versions... In a general way, please make sure that you have installed the plug-in in the correct path location which is usually setup by default when running the installer. Try to reboot and then re-install the software. Launch your DAW and see if it now appears as it should. Hope this helps. BR - Peter |

Hi there, Thanks for your interest in P&M plug-ins. While the installer contains all V.I.P. series plug-ins, you may decide to install only the one you purchased or ALL of them if you want to demo them... If you purchase the P&M screamer at $49, well that's what you get. If you purchase the VIP Bundle at $249 (actually promoted at $99), well then you purchased, installed and authorised all 45 plug-ins Hope this answers your thoughts. Kind Regards - Peter |

Hi guys! I just purchased a license for PI and got this in an email a few minutes later: "We are sorry but this product is temporarily out of stock. We expect to get more very quickly and your order will be sent as soon as possible, usually the same day." I think this should be stated up-front BEFORE taking our money! Payment was processed successfully. A bit disappointed. Also, how can a software license be "out of stock"? How can a line of text be out of stock? If it was an actual physical boxed product I could fully understand, but this is a bit ridiculous to me. Please sort this out! Regards Vaughan Hello Vaughan, I apologies but we are really out of stock. In some cases, we purchase licenses from distributors just as for physical products. Our product manager Nick has ordered more serials and you will be delivered in the next hours. I apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience. Kind Regards - Eric |

I've been through the very same stuff but it's working here, even when it says install failed, I installed p&m VIP bundle manually and it seems to work even though the message said, installation failed. Now the list of glitches, bugs and problems I've come across while testing this one is just incredible. As usual with any plug-in from either P&M or Nomad Factory as they share some of the same code and technology, I've been through the same nightmare with a sensibly similar product called Magma. It never worked properly and I took them 8 or 9 updates to make it more or less usable. Still today I get regular glitches, plops, audio drop-outs with it all the time, on top its filters are responding too slowly to automation so they're unusable. Here's a short list of what's going on in logic 10.1.1 on a mac os 10.9 1) The host automation is ETREMELY slow. E.G. I want to open the logic list on my track to select a parameter, and it gives me rainbow wheel for almost 30 secs EACH TIME I click on it. 2000 of parameters is maybe too much guys. It's a horrible coding mistake. 512 parameter slots as in reaktor or Guitar rig would have been enough. 2) The host automation doesn't show up the NAME of the parameter, you just see numbers in Logic, and each thine I have to open the plug-in window. 3) The displayed info is very slow, in fact it completely slows down my refresh rate on this computer, a Macbook Pro Retina 2013 with an Nvidia 750 chip (and it's running on that one). I mean everything slows down, logic, the plug-in and anything related to them. 4) Realtime Automation seems impossible to do properly as when turning knobs it keeps hanging. Remember when computers were too slow to play a specific game, the refresh rate slows down and makes your game unplayable? so I get scaled automation, which is not only what I want to avoid, but an absolute time-eater. 5) Opening any Plug&mix separately from the chainer afterwards to compare behavior, gives me the same problem, automation glitches, and I even have to restart my computer completely to get it working normally again. My conclusion is that while I LOVE using the plug&mix effects in my productions, and I'm a huge clarisonix, limiter, echo flex, and talking tone addict, if anything from the same team is glitchy all the time, it doesn't surprise me that media don't talk about it. What a bad advertising for you guys, again and again. In 2015 it's absolutely unacceptable to have plugins that give so many glitches and issues as yours when they get released. I'm sorry to say that, because every single production I've done in the last 2 years makes heavy use of your stuff and you deserve top rating and credit. I contacted eric on Facebook, but he didn't seem to be active on there. Hello airwavemusic, Thanks for your post Here is a capture of the automation parameters that we loaded on a slot that contains a Fabfilter plugin. Many manufacturers have way more than 500 automation controls :/ Now the automation shows the parameter names has expected. Logic Automation As mentioned above, we are investigating all reports but it sure isn't easy if we don't have the exact same configuration as users... Thank you - Eric |

Just an other comment concerning the "Installation Failed" issue. Again repairing the "Permissions" from the disk utility should do it but... You may also have a look at : Disk/Library/Application Support/Plug and Mix/PM Chainer/PM Plug-Ins If the last folder "PM Plug-Ins" doesn't exist, it is a Script problem likely due to Permissions "write" limitations. You may manually create the folder named exactly "PM Plug-Ins" and relaunch the installer. All 45 P&M proprietary plugins (.pmplugins) should reside in that folder. Hope this helps - Eric |

Hello folks, Ok we've been investigating the issues listed above. It comes out that very little issues could be reproduced. We therefore need very precise information when reporting issues : Machine model OS system DAW version(s) Which VST plug-ins crash Etc. But most of all, send precise information so that we can systematically reproduce the bug. Like which VST crashes. We have tested tones of them but... Now to answer the issues where some of you encounter "Installation Failed", that is most likely a "Permission" issue where the installer is not able to create all folders in the library, specially the P&M plugin folder. The first thing to do is "Repair Permissions" relaunch and re-install the chainer. It also looks like you may ignore the message. Simply launch the chainer from your DAW and Re-Scan the plugins from the PREFS menu on the Chainer Gui... That should do it as well but repairing permissions is always the best option when installers fail to create folders on the system! Those who encounter issues using controller hardware with infinite rotating buttons such as Avid command 8 should download the latest P&M plugins version 3.3. We are actively working on reproducing issues on Logic and pro tools as reported but things work fine here... Automation can be tricky but that is an other story and we are monitoring your feedback to solve particular issues ASAP. At last, please note that our servers have been heating up these past days with hundreds of downloads per hour. So if you encounter download issues, please be a little patient, things will shortly calm down. Thank you all for your time reporting things. We are working hard to fix things when we can reproduce them. Kind Regards - Eric |
